Lunch!
It has been awhile since I sat to write except on my book.  I felt so at home today as I sat down to a lunch of chicken & dumplings and a spinach salad with my own home-made dressing, paneer (farmers cheese), mushrooms, red onions, and tomatoes...delicious if I do say so myself!

Although my doctor recommended I eat some of my protein as meat, I dreaded buying it.  My partner, Himanshu, took me to purchase a chicken, but what I didn't know is that they would pull a live chicken out of a stack of cages, and proceed to slaughter it, put it in the bag warm. and hand it to me. Oh my God!  As I held the warm. soft, bag, I felt tears form and run down my cheeks.  I realized I could never kill anything, but I may as well have killed this chicken.  I thanked the earth for providing this animal to improve my health...it helped.

Little Prince & Jasmine Cafe
These are two of my favorite restaurants, The Little Prince & Jasmine Cafe, all veg., right on Lake Pichola.  At times people bathe and do their laundry on the ghats (steps) while you are eating lunch.  It is both a relaxing place, and a very interesting one at the same time.

And life rolls on....  I am planning to go see H.H. The Dalai Lama teach the first of June and will finally make it to Nepal when it gets unbearably hot here.  But, hey, I'm a Texan and we are used to the heat!  Enjoy your life, it's the only one you have at the moment!

20085 Maruti 800AC
Oh, I almost forgot...I bought a car!  It is made by Suzuki and is a 2008 Maruti 800AC.  A bit twinky, but small and perfect for India!
